"Music and Rhythm connects us all... a place where no matter where you come from or what you do, or what language you speak, you are welcome. Dancing is tribal..." ~ dj sprouT / Tammra
There are no words to describe what transpired before, during and even after my Divine Forgiveness Workshop @ Electric Love Music Festival but let me try...
When I applied to do a workshop last year (2016) - I immediately got that I was to do one on Forgiveness. I am not so naive to realize that this was what my soul required most and that I would likely go into a very deep dive into the topic. Wow, did I ever go down. It opened me up so deeply and I spent last / this winter and spring healing a very sick body, mind and literally had to pick up and re-member pieces of my soul back into wholeness. I shared my journey on my practitioner website here and the mix I did for the workshop last year is posted here.
This year - I thought I was going to find a new theme to embody through dance and movement BUT again, I immediately got that I was rewriting the workshop and re-mixing a new audio-mix on the same subject: Forgiveness.
This year I layered in 3 different mixes. First I sampled and edited vocal clips from Matt Kahn and his talk called "Essence of Forgiveness" and even got permission to use the samples in my mix! How cool is that? Yes! I uploaded the mp3 of the full talk HERE (it will be posted for a few more weeks) - feel free to download for easier listening on-the-go. You can watch his talk: Essence of Forgiveness on YouTube HERE or I have embedded it below.
Then I mixed together all of the tracks that came to me these past few months, that matched the theme.
Then I layered over Tibetan singing healing bowls in the frequency of C (or see ;)).
To learn more about Ho'oponopono - which we didn't have a lot of time to go into more deeply - watch my friend Christine Campbell explaining it HERE on YouTube
I posted the download of the file above or you can listen on mixcloud- also posted above :)
I was so touched by the people who showed up to their work on Forgiveness and it was an honour to be their guide through this process.
