​This mix was intuitively guided by the Spirit of The Eagle for a themed event on Self-Leadership. When I sense into Self-Leadership for myself I think of an animal like the Eagle. You might find a different animal to join you on this journey. Explore that and have fun with it. The songs are a mix of songs I was drawn to on YouTube and then mixed with Garage Band on my laptop.

How to use this mix

• Play or download (scroll down)
• Wear something that makes you feel good- could be yoga clothing or could be a flowing dress or skirt / wide legged pants
• Be ready to sweat or move in ways you haven’t in a long time or go at this slowly, be curious
• Wear your hair down if possible
• Play the mix on a sound system if possible (or headphones if you have a belt or arm band to hold your phone)

 
The Dance (some ideas if this is your first time)
- Beginning with the singing bowls allows us to slow our movements into flow and also root into rooting. 
- Connecting with our heart-centre, the place of love and trust, we can begin to trust ourself to guide us on the dancing path and ask: how do I move at my core? 
- As we find ourselves rooting and flowing-  we can begin to open like a flower
- Hearing the Eagle calls can give us a birds eye view and we can let ourselves fly 
- In the last song ask: How can I build a shrine for all things Self-leadership - how does this translate into movement?

Today was the Women's March around the world. Some women / people have the freedom and privilege and health to march, some don't. Thank you to everyone who keeps fighting and praying for my right to be a female dj (and to feel  safe- which hasn't always been the case) - this is for all youz. 

This was my first time recording on the new DDJ SX2 controller - I have played and recorded my mixes on turntables (since the late 90's) - but I couldn't link this crazy new machine to my controller vinyls w/o a certain added pak- so here you go--- my first time recording on this cd controller, even though I have hardly played / practised on it.  This was my first take and didn't edit anything. 

I found it to be a lot of fun. I journey through Deep / Tech and Electro House, Breaks & Glitch Hop

I simply want to share the music. I always want to dance.

​Oh that felt so good!!! I just spent 4.5 hours dj'ing and made 2 "Best Of Electro House" mixes.

I think Electro House is so perfect for Halloween and this time of year. It can be fun but it's usually a little eery and sometimes quite heavy and dark. These are all my 5 Star tracks ranging from the years 2006 to 2016! Many of them floor fillers. Alas, I am an artist so they can't all be club tunes. Oo, so many goodies in here.

The first one is 120-125 bpm and is 1.4 hours, and the second one is 125-127 bpm and is 2.2 hours!!! I have at least one more to do, maybe 2 because who knew I had so many electro house tracks? PLUS, I bought 5 more new tracks today! I couldn't help it. This is like paint for artists, for me.

This doesn't include the 4 hours on Saturday organizing my serato crates.

I am so excited to mix more "Best Of" mixes and once I rinse out all this farty and fun Electro House, up next will be Indie Dance, then Nu Disco then Breaks baby! Then it will be a new year!

Hi dance lovers... Here are all the tracks I chose for my set at The Radio Stage Bass Coast 2012 http://basscoast.ca ... My recorder didn't end up recording my set (which is too bad because I dropped some funny vocals and also had a beautiful singer with me). So as a treat for those who have asked,  I thought I would put together a mix with all of the tracks I picked and it turned into a 4 hour mix! 

This musical journey starts out with Moombahton (House Raggaeton Fusion) into Indie / Nu disco... Plenty of Electro House with sprinkles of House, Techno and Tech House ... ending off, as usual, with a last bite of Dubstep.

This mix is mostly Breaks and Indie Dance with a touch of Electro house... Great mix for just about anything you are doing and always fun.
